Karsten is an independent creative artiste from the Philippines. With over two decades of experience in songwriting and intuitive composition, His music spans multiple genres and has developed a distinctive creative music that transcends genres and languages. Beyond writing and composing, Karsten also produces, directs, and edits his own music videos, embodying the true spirit of a self-made artist.

Karsten started writing songs in Tetum, the nation’s local language of Timor Leste. Collaborating with fellow artists, they recorded an album in Jakarta, Indonesia. One of his standout tracks, “Adeus”, gained nationwide recognition and was aired on Timor-Leste’s national television for an entire year.

Returning to the Philippines recently reignited Karsten’s passion for creating music in both English and Tagalog. His upcoming release, “LDR” featuring Nixai, marks his first Tagalog single and signals a new chapter of collaborations with both emerging and established artists.

To date, Karsten has written and intuitively composed over 70 original songs—a testament to his enduring creativity and commitment to his craft.
